The Churdan public library will wind down the Fourth of July weekend with a fundraising supper and a concert in the park Sunday, July 5.
A supper of grilled burgers, brats and hotdogs, with baked beans, chips, bars and watermelon will be served from 5 to 6:30 pm in the Churdan Community Room. A free will donation will be accepted, with proceeds going to the library’s building fund.
The Town and Country Band will play under the gazebo in the city park at 6:45 pm. The band has prepared a variety of music from Satchmo to Sousa, with patriotic music and even a polka in between. Lawn chairs are suggested. As in previous years, the band will accept donations to help cover the cost of music and operating expenses.
